Ana follows and promotes a wholefoods plant-based diet for disease prevention, management and reversal. She also specialises in weight loss, sports performance and recovery. Hello, nice to meet you, my name is Ana from Vitoria-Gasteiz in Spain. I’ve been living abroad for the past 10 years and I’m only back in Spain now to dedicate my life to help transform people’s lives with plant-based nutrition.

I turned vegan 5 years ago while giving an answer to the question: “what is more important for me, 10 minutes of pleasure in my mouth and convenience or the life of an innocent animal?”. Everything in my heart was screaming to choose the later one so I went vegan overnight and never looked back. My only regret is not making the connection sooner.

During this time, I was studying for my Master’s degree in nutrition so I had to make sure a vegan diet was healthy for my clients. And indeed, I discovered that not only is it healthy but it’s the HEALTHIEST! It’s the only diet scientifically proven to prevent and reverse the World’s deadliest diseases: cardiovascular disease, diabetes type II and cancer. Everything made sense to me now, the most ethical diet happens to be the healthiest and the most sustainable. So I quit my job to start a business dedicated to help people transition to this lifestyle to transform their health and that of the planet.

Since my transition I’ve never felt better! I feel lighter, more energetic, fitter and live life to the fullest with a meaningful purpose. I have discovered a huge number of incredible recipes, restaurants and shops I wouldn’t have found otherwise. You can use the Happy Cow app to find restaurants with options near you everywhere in the world! In my small town we already have 2 vegan restaurants and a few vegetarian ones. Everywhere I go either there are options, or chefs are happy to accommodate dishes for me or I call in advance to ask for options and show there’s demand for vegan menus.

Here are some of my recipes; nowadays you can find a veganized recipe for all of your favourite foods:

Of course veganism goes way beyond food, having the ethic side of saving lives at its core. Hence why as much as I care about what I put in my body I also care about what I use outside of it such as: natural cruelty free skincare, slow-fashion clothing made with sustainable plant ingredients (or better yet buying second hand), choosing activities that don’t involve animal exploitation (like zoos, aquariums, other shows or tourist attractions), etc.

⁣And also you’ll be doing the 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐭 a huge favour by reducing carbon emissions, deforestation, water waste, and a long etc

There’s also sustainability to take into account, since it is more than proven how adopting a plant-based menu helps to reduce: the emissions of gases damaging for the environment, the pollution of oceans, the usage of water and land, etc. 

Last but not least there’s a very important spiritual reason as well, as you want to avoid harming others and consuming sentient beings. Hence why people on an advanced spiritual path always chose a vegan living as it helps to in a way to “keep the soul clean”. Or put in another way you are not consuming a harmful dead tissue full of stress hormones and instead you are consuming highly vibrating colourful plants full of living enzymes that act as medicine.

I’m always open to questions when it comes to veganism and to explain my story and why I chose this path to my family/friends/new people I meet. I love recommending them dishes to try, documentaries to watch (such as What the health, Cowspiracy, Seaspiracy, Earthlings, Game Changers, etc), going together to a vegan restaurant, planning a themed cooking party at home, explaining them all the health benefits it involves and so on.
