I am a passionate vegan in all aspects of my life, including skincare, makeup and clothing. I’m based in a lovely seaside town in Cornwall UK which is home to British surfing 🏄🏽‍♀️ We have a HUGE selection of amazing eateries providing award winning vegan cuisine – I’m spoilt for choice!

I’ve seen huge changes in the vegan world 🌎 over the years.

It’s gone from nobody knowing what a vegan is (I used to be offered gluten free a lot) to it being one of the coolest ways to eat and live your life!

The turning point for me, having been predominantly vegetarian 🌱 as a child/adolescent was reading a book called Skinny Bitch, a diet book written by former modelling agent Rory Freedman and former model Kim Barnouin. It promotes a purely vegan diet and it was the chapters on factory farming and animal cruelty that turned me vegan there and then.

I feel cleansed being a vegan. I feel lighter

It was really hard to be vegan when I first started it, nothing like it is today! I remember a funny incident when I was ordering dinner in a local restaurant and asked the waitress for the vegan option. After explaining to her what vegan was, she went back to the kitchen and said ‘how about a ham tagliatelle with a cream sauce, that’s made with gluten free pasta’. I smiled kindly and explained that the ham and cream sauce was not vegan. She went away again and came back and said ‘what about pasta with some fresh Parmesan on top and some fresh herbs?’ At this point I had to stifle a giggle, she was so sweet but the challenge of ordering vegan in restaurant at that time was REAL! It’s a very different story now, it’s actually unusual to find out and there not be vegan options on the menu!

Interestingly, I’ve just come back from Lanzarote and the all inclusive hotel restaurant where I stayed did struggle with vegan options – although there was plenty of fresh and delicious salads!

I feel cleansed being a vegan. I feel lighter. I’m a strong believer in ‘you are what you eat’ – I know my diet is cruelty free and healthy and this makes me feel and look good. I eat without guilt and I feel good knowing the food on my plate hasn’t caused suffering. Plus vegan is extremely delicious and healthy which gives you a great feeling knowing this!

What can you eat as a vegan?

I would say identify those dishes/ foods you just can’t live without and find a vegan alternative. This makes transitioning a lot easier. For example my husband loves meat, we are very different in that respect. So when he was trying vegan I gave him Beyond Meat burgers.

He also loves Thai food, and I made him lots of yummy vegan Thai curries.

I would say try not to get sucked into the vegan junk food trap. This can be super tempting especially when you see all of the delicious vegan junk food prompted on social media. You won’t reap the benefits of a plant based diet if you fill up on sugary, salty, high fat vegan junk food. But a little bit of what you fancy, in a balanced diet, is not going to kill you!

I wasn’t always vegan, and so I fully understand the big question…where do I start?

So I ask you…

  • Would you like your life to change for the better? Right now?
  • Would you like to have more energy, be a healthy weight and NEVER have to diet again?
  • Would you like to have radiant and glowing skin, be free of digestive issues, and just generally look and feel as good as you know you can – ALL the time?

And what a bonus if, as a by-product of this, you were released from participation in the animal cruelty that has become so normalised; you were living the most sustainable lifestyle possible for the planet; and you were eating in a way that helped combat world hunger and promoted social justice?

Sounds too good to be true? Nope….

Maybe you’ve thought about trying a plant-based vegan diet but have had concerns that it might be difficult, or impractical. Nothing could be further from the truth. More people than ever are going plant-based/ vegan. It’s becoming more mainstream by the day, and shops and restaurants are hearing the demands of this rapidly expanding market, which will only EVER get bigger!

There is no better time to start feeling amazing!

Any health issues? As a qualified plan-based nutritionist I can work with you in consultation with your GP/ healthcare provider to help you implement dietary changes to improve your lifestyle.

However, it is also true that a vegan plant-based diet doesn’t automatically mean healthy. You might already be a vegan who eats processed junk food and can’t break the cycle. You’re probably constipated or experiencing unhealthy bowl habits.

With my coaching however, you can transition to a healthy vegan plant-based diet, at your own pace, but even more importantly in these busy times, at your convenience, in a comfortable, judgement and dogma-free zone.

I will help you:

  • Create meal plans to suit your tastes and preferences, based on your existing favourite foods, so that you NEVER feel in any way deprived
  • Make meals and snacks that are not only delicious and satisfying, but also nutrient-dense
  • Discover new taste and texture ideas when YOU feel ready
  • Take the tedium out of shopping lists, and shop for healthy groceries on ANY budget
  • Have at your fingertips the answers to questions that curious friends and family might have about your exciting new lifestyle
  • Keep motivated, by giving you existing, credible, FUN reading material, suited to your spirit, and to your areas of interest in the diet.
