It was hard for me not to make the decision

Tell us about yourself please

I am currently in Montreal, QC Canada but am back and forth between the USA and Canada.  So luckily I get to try a lot of delicious vegan options!

The reason why I had turned Vegan was that I had never wanted to eat meat or any dairy since I was young.  I went vegetarian for a while when I was in my teenage years.  I made the complete transfer to Veganism 4 years ago actually.  I was watching the documentary called “What the Health” and with the information that was shown in the documentary it was hard for me not to make the decision based upon the information not to make the complete switch to Veganism.  An important aspect for me with Veganism is about my health, plus the ability to make delish Vegan dishes.

When I was Vegan at first it was a definite learning process for me with adding proper nutrients and veggies.  Taking supplements and additional teas, etc.  One of my favorite experiences were the amazing Vegan Food Truck events in Los Angeles.  I would definitely recommend them to anyone, I have met and made many good friends who are Vegans, cooks and are also fashion designers and journalists because of these types of events.  It’s a wonderful community that I feel very privileged to be a part of with so many wonderful individuals.

We’ve been blessed to meet so many amazing people along the way who have helped achieve amazing dishes and vegan experiences.

When we travel we have the honor of attending Vegan Festivals. Our favorites are Vegan District at the Pike Outlet, Vegan Street Fair at North Hollywood and Vegan Pop Ups at The Hawk in LBC.

The beautiful thing is the food, community and support. As an actress my favorite Vegan Truck Original Herbivore has had me take photos and videos for their Commercials with my Family. We love to support Vegan Food Vendors as we endorse Veganism free of soy/fake ingredients. As some of our team suffers soy intolerance we love to find alternatives to promote to those who have the similar issues.

You can find these great events in your local area on the happy cow app !! Honorable mention: Dirty Pizza in Montreal, Burger Fiancé in Montreal, Naughtboy Sushi in LA, and Sushi Bloom in Montreal.

When I have friends that are meat-eaters they usually agree to a Vegan friendly place and I help to share my food with them so that they can try a delicious Vegan dish.  I also will buy them a Vegan meal that I believe that they would like to try.  They usually love it and can’t believe that it isn’t a Meat dish and that it’s Vegan.  They usually ask me when they can go for Vegan food again, because they love my Vegan Picks so much.

Some of my Favorites for Quick and Easy Vegan Options would be the Large Vegan Cheese Pizza from Whole Foods for $13. I can have an amazing Vegan Pizza with my friends or also family.  I love taking it to the Beach with a Blanket and relaxing at the beach.  One of my favorite breakfasts when I need protein and a superboost for the day would be an Iced Coffee with Oat Milk and a scoop or Vegan Protein Powder also.

My got too would have to be avocado toast, with Vegan Cream Cheese and Pumpkin Seeds on Top also with Chili Flakes.  It’s an amazing protein and fat based snack !!!

The best thing that we had learned about being Vegan was that most of our favorite foods were mistakenly Vegan such as; Oreo’s, Dark Chocolate, Popcorn and French Fries.
I guess a majority of my diet and likes already were Vegan that is why it had been so easy to make the switch over to Veganism for me.

The best advice that I can give you with being Vegan or attempting to eat less meat dishes is to experiment. Don’t be afraid to try new dishes and options !! You never know you may come across a meal or idea that is amazing and works well for you too !! Be open-minded and don’t be afraid to try new things out !
