Jenny, The Pint-Sized Vegan

I was first vegetarian August of 2013, then went on my vegan journey August of 2017. I have been meet-free for almost 10 years and vegan for 5.

When I was going vegan, it was bit more challenging considering the prices and the options I had, but now in 2023, there is so much more variety that it becomes easier and easier to become vegan everyday.

I feel absolutely amazing! Not only is it a great way to eat, but you are saving the animals and the planet at the same time!

What are some common misconceptions about a plant-based diet

The biggest ones I get are our food looking bland, and the iconic “where do you get your protein” when protein isn’t JUST in meat. As what the cows eat for example is where the protein comes from, along with beans having plenty of protein!

Jenny, The Pint-Sized Vegan

I started my blog as a food diary on Instagram once I went on my vegan journey, and I have grown such a community now and I’m now everyone’s go-to vegan person for restaurant and food recommendations!

As it’s part of what I do on my Instagram account, I show them we don’t eat bland food. In fact, vegans eat the most vibrant and flavorful foods there is and I show that on my page that I even have a decent amount of non-vegans that follow me either for their loved ones that are vegan or because they really love food.

One of my favorite places where I live is called Divino in Hastings, NY. My favorite dish is their vegan fusili bolognese. I also recommended brands like Nasoya, Gardein, and Morningstar if you are starting on a vegan journey to find familiar foods along with very tasty plant-based alternatives.
