Tell us more about yourself, please
Born and Raised in Canada, between living between Quebec and Ontario, where I grew up really made an impact on my decision to eventually go vegan. From early on, barbaric practices like trapping and hunting were being encouraged and witnessed on a daily.
I’ve been vegan for over a decade now and it unfortunately started because of health and being diagnosed with MS but soon became about THE ANIMALS.
Here is the exact story i’m about to share on socials:
Were there any captivating narratives or anecdotes during this time regarding veganism?
Oufffff SO MANY lol. Tell me the direction of the story you’d like me to share haha I have so many with activism, with family… I actually always share stories in my Mindful Communication course to get people to reflect but also that are just damn powerful.
Here I even have a module talking about how STORIES ARE SO IMPORTANT so that people can relate… everyone loves a story!!
If you want to watch some; meant to help with activism; (created for PBT):
What obstacles arise when seeking vegan food, particularly when dining out with friends?
At first i’d say it was trying to fit in with people I started viewing poorly for not getting into alignment with the sentiment that killing animals for WHATEVER REASON is wrong. Then, it was finding and associating myself with like-minded people so I didn’t feel so lost. I needed to belong.
Became an activist and took the LIBERATION PLEDGE and told my parents I wouldn’t visit if they kept serving my friends. I’m lucky to say that my whole family is vegan now and I don’t follow the liberation pledge anymore because I specifically go into non-vegan spaces to help them CHANGE.
How do you feel about being a vegan?
Like most: I WISH I WOULD HAVE DONE IT SOONER! I feel amazing and this is why I coach people to do the same.
If they are “vegetarian”; I say “Oh wow a VEGAN WAITING TO HAPPEN; and I proceed to exposing the cruelty of the dairy industry and how being diagnosed with MS showed me that my previous DAIRY consumption was a big factor. And for animal eaters; I generally say; WHY? If you can eat perfectly good and healthy food WITHOUT paying for someone to kill someone else for your taste buds… WHY NOT?!
Here are the easy options… Also I usually follow the outreaching techniques I give away here:
I have travelled all over the world and tried the best vegan foods. VEGAN food is always the best because it didn’t kill anyone. * What are some misconceptions about a vegan or vegetarian? How do you explain or educate?
I am a Coach and have good muscle mass (more than most woman) after being vegan for more than a decade so that myth is done real quick.
My latest “Get Your Shit Together” program is meant to help vegans fight the myths and build muscle to feel stronger physically and mentally.
Don’t beat yourself up. You are doing so much good. Even if one meal isn’t the most balanced… HOW MANY TIMES HAVE YOU EATEN DISGUSTING FAST FOOD WITHOUT EVEN A THOUGHT ABOUT “I wonder if my meal is balanced?!” LOL TRUST ME; you’ll figure it out.
Just follow the right vegan influencers online that resonate the most with you and follow the advice. EAT ENOUGH CALORIES. Lift weights! Learn how to communicate and REMEMBER YOUR STRONG REASONS WHY = you don’t need to be the reason others suffer.
First, you come to the realization that the world is in a dire state and that you’ve been misled throughout your entire life.
Then, everyone is in denial around you. Then, people finally start aligning with you truth. Then, you start SPEAKING THE TRUTH Then, you surround yourself by like minds Then, you wonder why you haven’t changed sooner and why others are being so resistant. Then, you realize being a VEGAN ACTIVIST is the only way.
YES~ I hope anyone who sees this and is on the fence; WILL WAIT NO LONGER! Like mentioned before; WE ALL THINK TO OURSELVES; why didn’t I do this sooner?
