During the COVID period last year, Jiayi started an Instagram blog called @greens_hopper where she shares her passion for vegetarian food. Jiayi is constantly on the lookout for delectable vegetarian dishes and loves to showcase them to her followers. Through her blog, she aims to dispel the myth that vegetarian food is limited to plain vegetables, and prove that it can be just as delicious as non-vegetarian fare.

In fact, she features a wide range of mouth-watering vegetarian cuisine on her blog, and she hopes to inspire others to explore this exciting culinary world.

Throwback to our feasting session @newfutkai! Went with a bunch of non veg friends and they totally enjoyed the food!

We had the following items:

  • 🌱Herbal mushroom charcoal hotpot
  • 🌱Ah ma fishhead charcoal hotpot
  • 🌱Fragrant sambal grilled fish
  • 🌱Sweet potato ring
  • 🌱Crispy roast pork
  • 🌱Charcoal sesame tofu

Love both the charcoal hotpots!! The soup base are both really fragrant and yummy! The sweet potato ring is quite interesting too! Usually we have yam ring version and this is quite nice too! Rest of the items are good too and goes so well with rice!

Always a nice Chinese veg food place to go to whenever there is craving for comfort Chinese food!

Now you can recreate the vegetarian version using @omnifoods.seasia @greenmonday_singapore newly launched omniseafood series easily at home! Do take note that @omnifoods.seasia products are allium free!

It is my first time trying out the award winning omni golden fillet and i have to say i am pretty impressed by it! We fry it with oil and the crust is nice and crispy. Texture inside also feels like the real deal.

Ingredients

  • @omnifoods.seasia golden fillets
  • Fries
  • Butter
  • Ready made burger bread
  • Tartar sauce ( contain alliums)
  • Mustard ( contain alliums)
  • Black pepper

Instructions

To whip out this simple veg version of fillet-o-fish, you just need:

  1. Fry the fries ( you can also use a airfryer to help u with this) and set it aside.
  2. Fry the @omnifoods.seasia golden fillets till they are golden brown and set aside. It takes about 5-10mins if the oil is really hot. You can also season it with some black pepper.
  3. Coat the base of another pan with butter and lightly heat up the inner and outside of the buns so it will be crispy.
  4. Finally, spread tartar sauce on the buns, assemble the golden fillets and add the golden mustard on the fillets.

And there you have it - a yummy veg fillet-o-fish done easily and fuss free!

We also added on a nice vegan and non alcholic sparking pinot noir drink from @jukescordialities that goes really well with the burger!
