IMiin loves being out in nature. She believes the earth, stones, grass and sand are healing for the soul. Since becoming vegan almost 8 years ago, she always ensures she eats lots of fruits🍎 and veggies🥦. Meatless Movement recently had a chance to chat with her to find out why a vegan like her is so fascinated with fruits and veggies.

Please tell us more about yourself

Hello everyone, I’m IMiin (you can call me Miin) from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I’m a certified fitness professional and a cat mommy of two!

IMiin Ng

I was inspired to become a vegan by Kristina Carrillo-Bucaram as I chanced upon her IG page on eating and living with kindness and compassion towards other sentient beings. Her tips on eating high vibrational food (lots of fresh veggies and fruits) has helped me transformed to be a vegan easily, as my health was thriving and I felt so much great benefits such as more energy, no more period cramps, faster recovery after my intense workout sessions, etc.

I have been vegan for almost 8 years now. The interesting part is this lifestyle makes me happy, humbled, and restores my relationship with food to a healthy level. It is no longer about losing weight or looking a certain way (pre-vegan) because NOW, it is all about doing less harm to the animals for as long as I live on this planet. Every bite of my food makes me happy, NOT guilty.

I feel great health-wise being a vegan and there is still so much more that I need to learn to minimize sufferings and help others see that peace starts from their plate. If you hate racism, sexism, wars, and whatnot, then know that YOU have to be the change.

Because I also practice Vipassana meditation, being vegan makes me feel aligned with my spiritual practice.
