I was born and raised in Dallas, and my favorite thing to do was go fishing. I was raised on a meat-centric diet, and the first time I heard the term meatless Mondays I was in my car, and I laughed out loud because I couldn’t even think of a meatless snack and why would someone want to avoid what God put here for us to eat?

As you can tell in my first answer here, I believed what everyone else in my world believed: meat for protein, dairy for calcium; no one ever shared that plants have enough of both and support wellness more effectively.

After I realized I loved a cow like I love a dog, I stopped eating animals, and that led me to launch All Y’alls Foods and my lifetime commitment to pushing plant-based proteins, or what I call First Generation Proteins, to the benefit hungry humans, the animals, and the planet.

All the folks, businesses, and service providers who have been supportive, the universe, and our amazing customers are why we exist in the first place.

What do you think is the reason for the increasing popularity of meat-free diets?

Three reasons. If sustainability is a concern, it only exists with a shift from animal-based proteins to plant-based ones; we use 10% of the water to produce ours vs. animal proteins. From a health perspective, plants are the only answer; they are full of complete proteins, minerals, phytonutrients, and fiber and have no cholesterol or saturated animal fat. And more and more people are connecting to all of the downsides of animal proteins.

Somehow, a plant-only diet needs to be completed and more for the human body, and one that contains lots of various fruits, veggies, nuts, and seeds is far superior to meat, dairy, and eggs. Based on facts and hundreds of peer review studies.

Meat is just a vehicle for plants; anything one eats made of meat is either filled with or surrounded by plants because we are drawn to the beautiful flavor of plants, smoke, salt, and char. So, folks like myself make the meat from plants. Be Kind to Every Kind-Plants for the win!
