What our interviewees say about HappyCow

Veggie Sandy

I Want to Show What Real Vegans Eat

There are apps like HappyCow that show you which restaurants are vegan or have vegan alternatives. If you’re unsure if a restaurant has vegan options, call them beforehand. Chances are they’ll be able to modify something on the menu to make it vegan. Also, remember that the more people ask for vegan options, the more restaurants are likely to offer some in the future!

Eating plant-based is the future and people are intrigued

I would say to find a vegan restaurant in your area. Most cities have one. They’re the experts, let them cook for you. You can do a Google search or use https://www.happycow.net/ a website that helps you locate vegan food in your area. Everyone has eaten vegan food if you’ve eaten spaghetti or a bean taco. It’s not anything crazy or mysterious.

I am super happy with my choice to be vegan every day and have never regretted my decision once

I would also recommend figuring out options for when you arrive in a new location! I always use the app HappyCow! It is a life saver! It allows you to see vegan/vegetarian restaurants in a local area and there are lots of reviews and pictures for restaurants. It also tells you restaurants with options if you are in a group with people who do not want to try vegan/ vegetarian restaurants.

The world needs peace, and we as human beings need to learn a bit about compassion to our fellow humans and other sentient beings

I used to find veganism challenging when I first made the switch but in today’s world it is very easy to be vegan. There are options at almost all restaurants and grocery stores! I’ve traveled to more than thirty countries and have found vegan options in every single one.

HappyCow makes it very easy to find restaurants nearby!
